Puerto Princesa is located more or less in the center of Palawan.
For several years already, Bobot Almasco pastors a church in Puerto Princesa, capital of the Philippine island Palawan, consisting mainly of former street gang members. I guess most of you will know David Wilkerson, founder of "Teen Challenge" and author of the famous book "The Cross and the Switchblade". What he has seen with those criminal New York gangs is very close to what Bobot Almasco is confronted with in Puerto Princesa. He has seen extremely violent gang bosses convert to Christ, influencing now in a very positive way their enormously big gangs. The kids are having new life's perspectives again. Formerly hostile gangs are now living in peace with each other. Below you can click on a short video where Edine Castillo tells of how Jesus restored his formerly messed up life.

The events leading to peace between certain gangs, initiated Gangs4God - "Gangs Active in God’s Service". Read this link for this ministry is great!

Felix Dexel is a German missionary, who together with his family, lived and

ministered in different areas in Puerto Princesa for many years. At some point, he met Bobot and both started ministering together. Today, next to other things, Felix organizes the European events that Bobot conducts in order to make his ministry more widely known. At the same time, Bobot is a wellknown singer and musician in the Philippines, which is advantageous in his ministry concerning those young folks. You are listening to his song Purihin ang Diyos ("Praise be to God", sung both in English and in Tagalog) by opening this page. There are many more songs by him on a CD that you can listen to and purchase on Felix' website. Thus, Bobot is ministering in two different ways on his events: for one, he talks about his ministry which he combines preaching in a fantastic way, full of love for Jesus and people, particularly those street kids. Felix does the translation. And at the same time, Bobot leads worship. On his Power2Change Tour 2006, he was being accompanied for the first time by two young musicians of his Puerto Princesa church, Joey (drums) and Marvin (bass).

The following pictures were taken on their tour to our two different church plant projects. On the whole, they toured 32 events in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Do you remember Eric? He is little Lilli's dad, whose birth testimony
we have in our ReadingRoom! She turned into a most beautiful half-year-old by now!

This is the video of Edine Castillo, a former street gang member,
his life and his remarkable transformation, about
which Bobot was also telling
(english subtitled).
